To be an eligible candidate for selection to one of the posts of dentists in a dental school, one needs a DMD degree with the minimum period of a four-year undergraduate program from an accredited university or college. After this, one needs to pass a qualifying exam – the Dentist Professional Registration Examination (DRE) – and obtain a license from the state where the dentist practices.
